God’s
Word Provides the Proof:
Genealogies
Show Creation of Adam Happened 6,000 Years Ago
Most Biblical scholars agree that God
directly provided Moses the text of the first five books of the Bible known as
The Torah. From the information given in Genesis 5 and Genesis 11, a
chart like the one included in this e-mail can be easily constructed.
Jesus said in Matthew 19:4 and Mark 10:6 that the creation of Adam
and Eve was “the beginning.”
Through genealogies and comparisons offered in God’s Word and
through historical records, it becomes obvious: God’s Word teaches that Adam
was created about 6,000 years ago, not “billions of years ago.”
God meticulously made
available concise and detailed information for mankind to know and understand
concerning the age of His creation and the human lineage of Jesus up through
Abraham in Genesis 5 and 11. I believe God provided this so there would be no
credible questions regarding ages and lineage that relate to the period before
the wrath of God was delivered through the World Wide Flood in the days of Noah.
Just
a small sampling of the concise detail God provides for us:
Genesis 5:3-5 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in
his own likeness, after his image: and called his name Seth: And the days
of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons
and daughters: And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty
years: and he died.
Genesis 5:6-8 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:
And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons
and daughters: And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and
he died.
Genesis 5:21-24 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and
begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and
five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not: for God took him. (Enoch
did not die for God took him for a specific reason.)
Genesis
5:25-27 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat
Lamech: And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two
years and begat sons and daughters:
And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years:
and he died.

Examples:
Adam knew Methuselah for 243 years.
Shem knew Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob.
The first 2157 years of history
are covered by three men whose lives overlap (Adam, Methuselah and Shem)
Noah had six living ancestors in
the lineage of Jesus that could have known Adam personally.
Methuselah’s name could mean,
“when he dies it shall come.” Could it be that God told Enoch to name him
that? The flood started when
Methuselah died.
The World Wide Flood took place
about 1656 years after God’s Creation Week.
The tower of Babel incident
probably took place during the days of Peleg when “the earth was divided”
(Genesis 10:25). The languages and nationalities came into existence at the
tower of Babel. Over the next few
decades people migrated to all parts of the world before the earth was
“divided.”
God’s
Word provides proof that each day of the Creation Week was a literal 24-hour
day.
God’s Word provides proof that the creation of Adam took place about 6,000
years ago.
