The
Revelation Genesis Link An
E-Mail Series from Gariel Ministries – March 18, 2007 Issue #5 Subject Area – The Genesis Connection by Dorothy von Lehe Creation:
Created for God’s Glory To Display God’s Character and God’s Attributes
Many people tend to think, especially today, that the “universe” revolves around them. It does not. The “universe” revolves around God. Everything is about God and for God. So important it is to understand that our Triune God (Father-The Creative Mind, Son-The Living Word, and Holy Spirit-The Powerful Movement of the Father and Son) created the universe, the earth and all living creatures including man for His glory. For God’s glory alone, not for man’s glory. We were created for the purpose of reflecting His glory.
God
created all things and sustains His creation to
display His character and His attributes. My
computer’s thesaurus lists these descriptive words: credit, praise,
magnificence, majesty, brilliance, wonder, splendor, beauty, grandeur, radiance,
triumph, success and admiration when the word glory is explored. Stop
for a moment. Please pause. Think
about how much we (God’s created beings) diminish the glory that is rightly
God’s and how much we dishonor Him when we accept man’s theories and go
about doctoring up God’s Word attempting to somehow stuff into it fallible
theories to accommodate man’s creative idea of millions / billions of years in
order to accommodate man’s creative theory of macroevolution.
The
Holy Spirit has been drawing my attention to the above scripture passage for
several weeks.
The first part of the verse, “my people perish for lack of knowledge”
I have often pondered upon.
But, the remainder of the verse I had not heard or been drawn to until
recently.
This scripture passage has been put in front of me in different ways
through several sources.
I find the depth of meaning associated with this passage sobering to
reflect on.
Theories,
such as the gap theory, day-age theory, theistic evolution, etc., were
introduced in an attempt to accommodate macroevolution and millions / billions
of years.
The Holy Bible, God’s Word stands alone as written and inspired by God.
It does not need second thoughts or any tinkering.
The Living Word of God is absolute authority and truth beginning with the
very first verse in Genesis through the very last verse of Revelation. “I
will also reject thee…I will also forget thy children.”
God
gave man free will and God introduced His universal principle of sowing and
reaping in the book of Genesis.
This principle is always at work.
After the worldwide flood and after God dispersed the people into
different language groups and nationalities at the Tower of Babel, God chose
Abraham to be the father of the nation of Israel and made the Jewish people His
chosen people.
He did this as part of His eternal plan.
The Jewish people were chosen to preserve the Word of God and to bring
forth through their lineage Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
The rest of the nations (the Gentiles) rejecting God and wanting to do
things their own way, were given
over to do just that.
They had to reap the consequences of what had been sown out of arrogance
and their self-centered ways. They rejected the one true God and His ways.
Therefore, they and their children (the Gentiles) were separated from God
until the death and resurrection of Jesus.
At that point in history, those who have since turned in faith to Jesus
have become like branches grafted into the olive tree whose root is Abraham the
righteous man chosen to be the father of all children of God, all who belong to
God through Jesus Christ, both Jews and Gentiles. There
are a number of scripture passages that tell us God will give
man over to his own will and his own desires.
Consequences must always follow man when man’s will and
self-centered ways are contrary to God’s Will and Ways. Think about society today. Think about what is happening to our children and our grandchildren. It is time to quit compromising, to quit rejecting the truth of the Living Word of God and its teachings before it becomes eternally too late!
*God’s
Word provides proof that the creation of Adam took place about 6,000 years ago. *Creation: for
God’s Glory alone to display His character and His attributes. BELIEVE GOD’S
WORD NOT MAN’S WORD
