| Volume 1 Letter 1 Page 2 Go to Page 3 Early Sunday morning, June 22, 2003, I had a dream in which
I give birth to a tiny baby girl. I name her Gariel.
In church that morning it became clear what this dream means.
Jesus is providing confirmation that His ministry through me has been
birthed. He even provided the name
to use for this ministry. For the past 16 months I have been writing letters to the
pastor and elders of Word of Life Church along with members of my family sharing
with them some of the details of these encounters and experiences. Through this
work, the Holy Spirit has confirmed that Gariel Ministries has been birthed.
The ministry is small at this point.
However, I pray with all my heart that through the launching of this
facet of Jesus’ ministry, Gariel will begin to grow and will become
exceedingly fruitful. In late December of 2001, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that one facet of a multi-faceted ministry was to be the establishment of an Internet ministry. I am beginning this phase by writing these letters to members and parishioners of Word of Life Church, along with many members of First Lutheran Church, where I was a member for more than 30 years, and to others in this community plus family, friends and other associates. These letters will form a foundation for an expanded Internet ministry that is intended to reach out beyond the Le Sueur community. God wants to bring His children into communion with Him. As I write these letters, emphasis will be placed on the following:
Jesus Made
it Possible to be Born Again A desperate need for Jesus and to hear the truth of the message of freedom and salvation is what brought me back into church. I had quit attending church about ten years ago. The Holy Spirit led me to Word of Life Church in my hometown of Le Sueur, Minnesota. In my next letter, the focus will be on the experiences of God audibly calling out my name three times and the mighty workings of the Holy Spirit prior to being born again and immediate changes in my life. The experience of being born again is hard to describe, but it was awesome.
On Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at about 12:30 a.m., I called out to God
telling Him how much I needed Him and how much I desired to be cleansed by the
blood of Jesus. I wept and wept. I wept in full repentance for my sins and I wept with joy
over going through this life changing experience.
Jesus responded and filled me anew with His Holy Spirit.
After about 2 ½ hours, I simply fell fast asleep.
It seems strange after going through this experience I could just fall
asleep, but I strongly suspect it was because I had been filled, was content and
was at peace. Commitment to Follow and Serve JesusIn those early morning hours as I called out to Jesus, I
was in a state of complete surrender. I
came to Jesus with the full intention of committing the rest of my life to
loving, following and serving Him. When I asked for forgiveness, I came with a totally repentant heart. I came ready and willing to turn away from sin and the devouring sinfulness of this world. God knows my heart, and He accepted my repentance and surrender to Him. He filled me with the Holy Spirit. As this happened it seemed as if I felt the Holy Spirit actually enter my body. He stirred within me as if He was cleansing me and preparing His home inside of me. This experience was very intense and indescribably wonderful. Testimony
